Konpa or Kompa is a popular dance music that originated in Haiti. It has gained popularity and inspiration for many Caribbean music forms, including the Antillean (French Caribbean) Zouk 
It is a partnership dance which includes swaying of the hips, twists, turns, footwork and some gouyad!
