SEASON ZINE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2020 LUNCH + SHEBELIEVES CUP MEET-UP
Join SEASON zine for an IWD Sunday lunch upstairs at The Prince of Peckham pub followed by the big match: Japan vs England in the SheBelieves Cup downstairs on Sunday 8th March, 4pm-8.15pm.
This International Women’s Day, the campaign theme is #EachforEqual.
According to the official website: “We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.”
We were struck by how closely this aligns with SEASON zine’s own mission to counter the fact that modern football culture is male, pale and sometimes stale, and to tell football and fashion stories (always one, sometimes both) that showcase, celebrate and empower women in football whether they play or not.
Tickets are £20 per person which includes lunch. Choose from Jerk Lamb, Jerk Chicken or Smoked Cauliflower (VE) served family style with refillable trimmings like rice and peas, mac and cheese, roast potatoes, green salad, coleslaw, plantain and gravy from White Guys Can’t Jerk. Drinks are available separately at the bar.
