Wednesday 22 June is now designated “Windrush Day’ annually in the United Kingdom. This assembly of concerned citizens, entitled ‘In The Company of Friends, Past & Present!’, in the Music Room upstairs welcomes Anton Phillips, theatre director and co-founder of Carib Theatre, to reflect on the experience of the relatively small contingent of Caribbean writers, poets, artists and musicians who found themselves ‘in England’s green and pleasant land’!
